gOd the refiner

i got this thru email by weichen (thx loads =D ) and i thought twas quite interesting & encouraging..

so i've decided to post it here for those who have yet to come across it :

Malachi 3:3a
He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver

a group of ladies came across this verse whilst studying the bible together, and it puzzled them. they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of gOd.

one of the ladies offered to find out more about the process of refining silver and will share it with the rest of them during their next bible study meet.

that week, the lady called a silversmith and asked if she could watch him while he worked, but she did not say why she was interested in the process of refining silver, except that she was curious about it. he agreed.

so she met up with him and watched him work. he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. he explained that in the process of refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the temperature was the highest so as to burn away all the impurities.

the lady thought about gOd holding us in such a hot spot, and she thought about the verse. she asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined.

to which he answered "yes". he not only had to sit there holding the piece of silver, he also had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. if the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.

the lady was silent for a moment, then she asked," How do you know when the silver is fully refined?" he smiled and said," oh, that's easy - when i see my image in it, it's done."

when ure feeling the heat & intensity of the fire, remember that gOd has his ever watchful eye on you =D

dont give up!!..gOd is always with you..all the way..

he's refining you, perfecting you til he see His beautiful image in you =]

think about it.
